UAE announces 90-day visa-free travel deal with European country
The UAE and Kosovo recently made travel between their countries easier by signing a visa exemption agreement. This means that citizens of the UAE can now visit Kosovo without a visa for up to 90 days, and vice versa.
The agreement was welcomed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo. They highlighted the importance of this agreement in strengthening their countries' relationship.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was done through a telephone call, where both parties expressed their commitment to enhancing bilateral ties. The MoU covers various types of passports, including ordinary, diplomatic, special, and mission passports.
The UAE-Kosovo visa exemption is seen as a positive step toward closer collaboration in political, economic, cultural, and educational areas. The officials involved in the signing were Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Xhabir Hamiti, the Ambassador of Kosovo to the United Arab Emirates.
Overall, this agreement not only streamlines travel for citizens of both nations but also marks a significant move in strengthening their relationship and fostering cooperation across different sectors.
